Strawberry Plum Juice

Mmmmm juice. There is anything quite like a good fresh juice right out of the juicer from the night before. Some of the vegan "cook books" that I often like to read are those made up of all kinds of smoothie and juice recipes because its fun to see there different ways they can be combined to make something wonderful and delicious. This week Steven and I have been taking big ol' glass jars full of fresh juice with us to work so I have been experimenting with different combinations. Here is one I tried today:



Strawberry Plum Juice
Ingredients:
6 plums- Plums help increase absorption of iron and they have antioxidants.
1 carton of strawberries-Strawberries improve blood sugar regulation and also have antioxidants.
5 apples-Apples help to regulate your blood sugar and they can provide fuel for your large intestine.
1 lemon- Lemons have antioxidant and anti-cancer properties.
2 ribs of celery-Celery has vitamin C and flavonoids
1 cucumber-can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
3 kiwi's-can protect against asthma, heart attacks, heart failure, good for blood sugar, and protects against macular degeneration
3 small/medium carrots-can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, can maximize health benefits, and much more.

Directions:
1) Throw everything into your juicer and enjoy!
