I really never get tired of having "ice cream" for breakfast. It's so healthy and energizing! Our breakfast shakes often evolve and continue to get better and better. We started out with just a plain jane banana shake with cocoa and bananas. From there we blended coconut into it as well, and on and on. Now I present this delicious blizzardy goodness!
Chocolate Almond Butter Blizzard
Serves 2
Ingredients
6 bananas
2 cups almond milk
1 1/2 tbs cocoa powder
3 tbs almond butter
2 tbs shredded coconut
1/2 cup pitted dates
6 toffee sweet drops (or whatever your preference)
Directions
1. In a blender combine bananas, almond milk, cocoa powder, and sweet drops and blend until smooth. 2. In a food processor combine 2 tbs almond butter and dates and process until it forms a chunky cookie dough type substance. 3. Crumble the date mixture into the shake and then put some on top. 4. Finish it off with the shredded coconut and drizzle the final tbs of almond butter on both shakes.
